London is a vast metropolis and one of the world’s most acceptable cities,  with areas of natural uniqueness, weirdness, and English eccentricity. We are huge London fans who are also very proud to call the city home.

So, after many hours of exploring the UK capital, we have chosen our collective favorite cool, unique, and trendy London hotels that reflect the city’s taste for the original, extraordinary, and impeccably designed.

When it comes to hotels along Oxford Street, most of them can be located around the western end of the street, around Marble Arch, a famous landmark overlooking the northeast corner of London’s biggest park, Hyde Park.

The majority of the hotels in the Oxford Street neighborhood are of the premium 4- or 5-star kind, and there are dozens within a few yards of the world-famous stores.

Room prices are unpredictable, and they tend to be considerably firmer throughout the workweek.

During slower times of the year, some of the more prominent 4-star hotels surrounding Marble Arch may offer highly competitive prices. Readout guide on the best Oxford Circus Hotels – top 10 in London.

The Langham Hotel

When Europe’s first Grand Hotel debuted in 1865, it stunned the European aristocracy with electric lights, hydraulic lifts, and air conditioning. It still draws admirers from all around the globe including more than its fair share of celebrities.

It might be due to its proximity to the BBC TV Centre. Still, it’s also due to the hotel’s overall comfort, sophistication, and calm environment, which extends from the exquisite spa and Palm Court dining room to the super-luxe classic rooms and suites.

4. The Hard Rock Hotel

Before venturing out into neighboring Oxford Street or visiting the cluster of stores that make up this charming complex.

It’s a large project that may have seemed a bit stuffy if not for elements like an on-site library, a cinema/theatre, and even a bowling alley to lighten the atmosphere.

6. Courthouse Hotel

9. Sanderson

Sanderson

The Sanderson — the lovechild of Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck – has a lot to recommend, beginning with the starship-themed elevators, the bold-as-you-like lobby furnishings, and the arty wall lights behind full-length silk curtains.

The rooms are more subdued, with a pared-down palette of silver, dove grey, and lemon. However, they’re still reasonably otherworldly, mainly when the massive glass-box bathrooms flow out of excellent green illumination. Overall, it’s a lot of fun.

 10. The Beaumont

The Beaumont

The Beaumont is a piece of art in and of itself, with Anthony Gormley’s part suite/part sculpture, ROOM, standing imposingly out front. Until a few years ago, you’d never believe that downtown London’s most eye-catching hotel was a car rental garage.

Inside, the design is a kind of blokey, conventional Art Deco, but it works, and the service manages to be quick without being obsequious, which is a rare feat. It’s a good location for Selfridges.

Conclusion

Most people associate Oxford Street with one thing: shopping. From John Lewis and Selfridges to Topshop, you’ll discover worldwide high street brands and indigenous names.

But be warned: this 1.2-mile stretch of road from Hyde Park to Tottenham Court Road can become congested, so take a break and browse the shops of nearby Marylebone, Bond Street, or Soho.
